How do I play five card draw?

Poker is an interesting and popular card game, and there are several variations. Texas Hold’em is by far the most popular, but in the past, five card draw was preferred by many. The idea behind the game is to make a maximum hand of 5 cards after the draw – that is, an exchange of cards that the player wants to discard.

Deals and Bidding

Similar to other forms of poker there are blinds, the mandatory bet, which is placed by the first player to the left of the dealer – it would be the MB, and the BB is placed by the second player to the left of the dealer. This takes place before the hand even begins at the beginning of the hand. Then each player receives 5 cards and the betting starts. The first player after the poker player who made the BB starts the betting. He can fold, call or raise. After this, all players take turns to do the same. And the betting round ends when all players place their bets.

After that, the showdown begins. Each poker player determines the cards he would like to fold. But sometimes the hand is strong and there is no need to change anything. In this case it is even possible to discard all 5 cards.

And so all the players trade in a clockwise direction and receive new cards. After the poker players left in the hand have received their cards, the betting round starts with the first player following the croupier.

After the second betting round, the winner is determined again. This can be the player with the only hand remaining after the hand or the player with the highest hand. If the poker players have the same combination, the pot is divided between them and the suit does not matter.

That is, the hand is played as follows.

1. Each player gets a hand of 5 cards.
2. The first round starts with the player who is positioned after the poker player who bet BC.
3. The players change cards, even all of them.
4. The next betting round goes on, and the first to decide is the player to the left of the dealer.
5. If more than one player remains in the hand, they are opened.
6. The maximal combination takes the pot.
